Jamie Broughton is a Brighton-based multi-Instrumentalist and visual artist that draws from a rich palette of sound and imagination. His music and melodies bring you in, hypnotise and then splash colour all over the place.
These new songs tread close to the warm familiar territories of vintage genres - the spirit of Ziggy Stardust via the playful sensitivity of ‘Sandbox Era’ Brian Wilson? All of those things, and maybe none of those things - because he will soon guide you back into his personal astral space, creating something altogether new and exciting.
This is music made by a student of the craft - and someone who might just be forging an entirely new space for himself and his friends.
You may have seen Jamie holding it down in ‘Wax Machine’ or ‘Ideal Living band’ - now we are excited to see him on his first solo foray with the release of his full-length self-produced album - ‘big long sun: speaking'.
He has already gained support from Amy Lamé on BBC6 Music with his first single 'The Sound' from the album and to celebrate it’s release, Jamie will be debuting the music live with a full band.
