Secret Night Gang revitalise the British street-soul sound with transcendent dynamic arrangements with eclectic influences from gospel, folk, soul, and R&B.

After bonding over music in school, they created the band following months of rehearsals - soon after, SNG were signed by Gilles Peterson to his Brownswood label.

SNG are joined by a seasoned rhythm and horn section for an intimate show at A L P H A B E T.

Performances at: Primavera Sound, Montreux, North Sea Jazz, Brick Lane Jazz, We Out Here, Love Supreme - Plus headline shows at Jazz Cafe, Ronnie Scott’s, and opening for the likes of Nubian Twist and Khruangbin.

A multifaceted instrumentalist, vocalist and producer with a flair for lush and complex harmonies and a matchless falsetto - all complemented by emotive jazz piano voicings along with analog synths.

James has established himself within the UK jazz, soul and R&B scene. As front man of his revered band Yakul and also as a solo artist, his output racking up millions of streams and countless would out shows - including a three night residency at Ronnie Scott’s. He has also worked extensively, toured and co-written with Jazz Legends Incognito.
